Hope Notes Grants for UK Artists
In this state of global emergency, isolated and separated from our loved ones, we are all seeking a bit of inspiration, tranquility, and hope.
Conceived by the critically acclaimed sarod maestro Soumik Datta and the award-winning filmmaker Souvid Datta, the Hope Notes Digital Festival will unite the voices of musicians, actors, writers, dancers and activists around the world to share the message of hope on a new Instagram account: @ourhopenotes. Running through the summer, they will share content that uplifts and stimulates, in multiple languages, across artistic disciplines, creating an inclusive community and bringing joy to those who need it most.
It is the hope of Soumik and Souvid that the voice of participating artists can reach key workers, the health care staff, and those suffering from increasing mental health issues to bring them a moment of joy, solace, and relief from the trials of this time.
Hope Notes has also announced three £1.000 Artist Grants for UK Artists, inviting visual artists, musicians, dancers, writers, photographers, and filmmakers to apply. Deadline: 26 June. Projects of the grant recipients will be launched on @ourhopenotes Instagram platform in late August, along with other press coverage and full PR support from our team.
